HILL ROSSIN

DIRECTOR, WRITER, ILLUSTRATOR

Hill was born in Indianapolis, IN, on November 12, 1974. When he was nine, his family moved to Pittsburgh, PA, where he completed elementary school and attended junior high and high school. At twelve, Hill began making Super 8 videos with a fellow student, Jon Pauley. In the summer of 1992, Hill created his first short narrative 8mm film, SUGAR KANE, which he submitted to MTV for the band Sonic Youth's 120 Minutes contest. Although the film did not win, Hill discovered his true passion.

In 1993, Hill graduated from The Oakland School and enrolled at the College of Santa Fe in Santa Fe, NM. A year later, he returned to Pittsburgh to attend film school at Pittsburgh Filmmakers.

In 1998, Hill moved to Charleston, SC, where he continued writing, directing, producing, composing, and editing short and feature-length narrative films and videos.

"I have the necessary skills to produce a no-budget film; I know how to write, cast, direct, edit, finance, and overall organize the production of an independent feature. My training covers all aspects of the filmmaking process, including knowledge of film and digital movie cameras, lighting and sound equipment, and computer editing for photo, video, and audio. To produce a film or video on a small budget, it is essential to use every resource to its fullest and creatively solve complex problems cost-efficiently. As a producer, it is crucial to take charge and provide a productive and positive environment for the cast and crew."

SAM SATAN

PRODUCER, WRITER, ENTREPRENEUR

Sam was born in Paris, France, on October 31, 1968. When Sam was three, his mother married her future husband, who later adopted Sam and gave him the surname Belrose. During his childhood, Sam was cared for by a series of nannies and eventually by his maternal grandmother. His grandmother played a crucial role in nurturing his love for music and films. Sam lived with her until her death when he was twelve years old. After her passing, he moved in with his parents. Sam's biological father is unknown.

In 1994, Sam moved to the United States to attend film school at Pittsburgh Filmmakers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In the summer of 1995, Sam Belrose, also known as Sam Satan, met Hill while they were both studying at Pittsburgh Filmmakers. They quickly became close friends and later business partners, co-founding Haunting The Better.

A year after Hill moved to Charleston, SC, Sam followed.

"I love film. Hill loves film. We complement each other well. But Hill is the artist, and I'm the go-to guy. I get things done!"
